"I, Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, have spoken to you throughout the pages of these books. They contain my words, and I lie not!
"My sheep hear my voice and they know me, and a stranger they will not follow!
"No one on the earth need ever be deceived by false doctrine for the truth is so plain there can be no mistaking it. Neither can the Truth longer be hidden. The time has come for the unveiling of the hidden mysteries of God to come forth that all men might be left without excuse.
"This sacred Road to Zion, this road to the Purification of the heart, is so plain and so preciously revealed even a fool need not err therein, though the wicked can never cross over it, as Isaiah proclaimed centuries ago. This Holy Road to Zion or to the Purification of the Heart is my own Straight and Narrow Path that leads to Life Eternal. And I Am that Way.
"This must be remembered: Everything that teaches a man to LOVE and to serve God and to Pray is of God! Let any man deny this and he is denying the TRUTH and the power of God.
"Prayer is the gateway into my Kingdom. And Prayer is a condition in which the PRAY-ER enters into my Presence and converses with me, or talks to me as one man talks to another. However, true PRAYER is not a vain repetition of words or phrases or sentences which are recited daily, without thought or feeling as a stupid, monotonous ritual, without life or vitality, performed merely from habit. When one enters my presence and talks to me, not reciting a monologued recitation, he could not possibly utter the same prayer twice, not any more than he could hold the same conversation with his neighbor each time they came into contact.
"Prayer is usually at an appointed time, which is good and acceptable for thus our meeting can be by appointment. But true prayer is the surging gratitude, the joy, the happiness, the yearnings of pure desire speaking at all times, in moments of free thought, as one carries in his heart the joy and the glory of his deepest requests. This is not done by appointment, or at any specified time. This is a spontaneous privilege and carries with it powers beyond the present understanding of man to fathom.
"Prayer is a privilege of sacred communication, offered to mankind. It is divine and should never be wasted. Use it well! Learn to love those moments we may have together as our hearts commune, and soon that time of association will be increased until you will be walking with me at all times. So learn to love those moments when your desires become my desires and my love becomes your love! Never think of prayer as a duty or an obligation or a burden. Know only that it is a privilege and a blessing beyond knowledge -- and thank God for it.
"Anyone who lives his life without prayer has been like a person confined to the darkness of a dungeon, without sunlight or hope or perspective or true purpose. Let your prayers be offered from your hearts, not just your minds or lips. Let them be a song of praise and love and gratitude and in such joy your every request will be heard and will be implanted upon that divine substance of BECOMING! In such joy your every petition and desire can be ANSWERED. This will be when you have prepared yourself to receive the fulness of your requests.
"Or, as I gave to my servant Ammon over two thousand years ago: 'He who prayeth continually, without ceasing, shall be given to understand the mysteries of Godliness. And unto such shall be given to reveal things which have never been revealed, and to bring thousands of souls unto repentance, or to an understanding of the joys of my kingdom.' This praying continually is not a fanatical, tortured offering of wailing, weeping lamentation. It is a singing glory of peace and assurance as one learns to rejoice with me. This is prayer, the offering of the self in a surrender of fulfillment as mortality is gradually released and one is so filled with the Spirit every cell and fibre of his being becomes imbued with Spirit -- and he is thus prepared to 'Be Born of the Spirit!'
"To be 'Born of the Spirit' is the great step of full OVERCOMING. It is the OVERCOMING OF THE WORLD and all that pertains to it, for this is the step that takes one beyond mortality, without descending through the gates of death. And always it is an experience of divine, controlled majesty. These blessed OVERCOMERS take their bodies with them, completely spiritualized, glorified, perfected and exalted, with DEATH OVERCOME! These are the works which I did. These are the works which you may do also.
"No one can come to the holy altar of prayers, within his own heart, and be slighted, ignored or unheard.
"Always give the Lord's Prayer, which is My Prayer! Give it with meaning and with LOVE. Then speak your own words, giving thanks first, then make your requests known. And thus shall we rejoice together. And thus shall you walk with me, for your errors and mistakes of the past shall be cleansed and released, and finally they will be blotted out and forgotten. And in this divine process even the tendency to err or blunder or sin will be eliminated. And your heart will be purified and your Road to Zion will be completed in the great glory of 'Being Born of the Spirit,' which holds the power of releasing all mortal ties of the physical flesh as the cells of the body are glorified and spiritualized and lifted beyond decay and illness and death. And in this glorious achievement of being 'Born of the Spirit' you will be lifted back into my Presence.
"Yes, Come unto me all you who labor (under the burdens and vicissitudes of mortality) and I will give you rest -- WHICH REST IS THE FULNESS OF MY GLORY! Take my yoke upon you, for my yoke is easy, FOR IT IS LOVE, and my burden is LIGHT -- even the great LIGHT of knowledge and fulfilment and power.
"There is no Promise too great for you to receive if you can only open up your hearts to believe. Nothing is impossible to him who believes! All negation and doubting will be banished as you become clothed in Light. And this great, divine Light of eternal power and understanding is MY BURDEN. And it is also yours as you take it upon you to fulfill my words and my PROMISE.
"And as you become clothed in LIGHT the keys of knowledge and understanding will be yours and you will reach the point where you will comprehend all things!
"Throw off your swaddling clothes of fleshy mortality and mortal thinking. THINK AS GOD THINKS and your minds and lives will lose the power to hurt and wound. Array yourselves in the glory of the PROMISES for I have not left you Comfortless. Every Promise every given is alive and everlasting. Each Promise is a ray or beam of divine Light streaming down from the heavens above. The very Promises are the rays of my glory pouring down Light and understanding and the perfect plans and the pattern of your own fulfilling and everlasting glory. But it is required that you take hold of these and clothe yourself in their Light.
"Yes, Lay hold of the best gifts, the best PROMISES, the divine HOPES and you will grow into them for they shall be yours! Deny them, ignore them, reject them, doubt them and you will continue to dwell in the outer darkness of your own unbeliefs, your despairs and miseries, which lead to death.
"Defile yourselves by the feeling of pride or self-righteousness and there is no progress or hope or way to escape opened to you out of the dismal darkness of your own unprogressing, for you alone can seal this condition upon yourself. Only in great LOVE and pure HUMILITY can one journey this sacred, divine ROAD TO ZION, or to the complete purification of the heart. And the heart is only purified when all doubting is OVERCOME and LOVE is established in every cell and atom and fibre of the soul.
"I opened the door to life, yet few have followed.
"Now I hold that door open for you to enter and as you do so you will realize that you are truly the door to everything -- to LIFE ITSELF FOR THIS IS THE DOOR THROUGH WHICH ONE IS BORN OF THE SPIRIT as he himself completes the perfecting of his own soul, and his flesh takes on the divine qualities of the Spirit. Then it is possible to enter the realm of Spirit, taking his body with him. And henceforth he will be able to come and go as the wind and no one will know from whence he came or whither he goeth as he is directed forth to do the greater works, even as I explained to Nicodemus.
"This Promise I leave upon you now, and I SEAL it by the power of my Redemption, that as you accept this most glorious gift, or Holy Spirit, and offend it not, but only BELIEVE IT, all things shall be unfolded unto your understandings. Its mission is to lead into all TRUTH -- and to assist you in fulfilling all things. For the PROMISES are yours if you can accept them and doubt not in your hearts.
"Behold, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last * * *.
"I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold I am alive for evermore! I am Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, and I hold forth my words and my Promises before you this day that you might partake of the blessings thereof.
"This is my SEAL and it will stand forever! So be it! For I have spoken! Amen!"
